    Does anyone know how to make sculptures that would crystalline in nature?

    There are Crystaline glazes, look up your local ceramic shop and they should have some there. They are not cheap though, like 20 - 30 dollars for a little tub of glaze. But way worth it... they come out beautiful!

    what kind of art is it?

    it depends on how realistic the "guts" look, if they are recognizable, I guess it would be surrealism.
