    How to calm whining puppy when home alone?

    I have a 9 week old boxer puppy whom will be home alone everyday for a couple hours until me or my room mate gets home.     How did we ever survive as children when there were no laws on bike helmets , safety...

    Seriously!! I mean I know the laws are for our safety but some laws go alittle too far. Years ago people used common sense more I guess and knew "oh if I try a stupid trick I'll prob crash..hmm" now kids think they're invinsible sometimes..but idk..lame..
