I have a vodafone contract, and I want to know when I can upgrade... like in exactly ... __ days. Also when you upgrade can you get pretty much any phone?

Can I stop my vodafone contract, and if soo how much for? I have seen a much nicer phone, and I would like to change to it, but I can't because I am on contract ... and the phone I want is on contract too. Soo how much will it be to stop the contract.
