Layers. I'd go with a tank top, t-shirt, sweater, rain coat and then a poncho. Include a layer of long johns or leggings with rain pants. Granted, I don't know what you classify as cold. -30C is cold to me. I'd also recommend proper hiking boots as the ground will be slippery.
