    Can a thief get AT&T to activate my IPhone for him?

    My Iphone was stolen. I suspended my service temporarily (another question on that rip off by AT&T is active), but I'm wondering what the thief can do with my IPhone. Can he actually get it activated? If he can, why can't AT&T then figure out it is my phone?

    I was robbed of my IPhone and now AT&T wants to exploit me by charging huge fees....
