Why does my truck idle around 1500 rpm's (sorry if im saying that wrong) when I start it up? It doesn't go below 1000. I can be sitting at a light and it will rev as if it wants to go. My truck is in mint condition, has 48,500 miles and has been well maintained. What should I do? It sounds like...

get rid of that piece of junk. Its older then dirt. If your drivers wont stick then replace that ancient item. not to mention, your speed sucks on that old device...I know it does.
