Sony Ericsson C510, the Nokia looks like a toy and the Samsung has a fixed focus camera.

I don't see how that's really the case. It's the same device today as it was on Thursday. There is still no other device that can take pictures like the N8, except for an actual camera. It still plays videos of any format in HD. It's still an excellent music player, etc. I might never buy...

Yes, you can. Do this (Menu> Tools> Settings> General> Personalisation> One-touch> Messaging key). You can then change the key to messaging, rather than email.
