    It really depends on the OPK that you use. The ones I use the test line has to be as dark or darker than the control. If your afternoon line is lighter it could be because your urine id diluted. Try testing when you haven't had anything to drink for atleast 2-3 hours

    I'm sure you could use either but the 4am may be more concentrated
