    Sounds like a trap. Don't mention it to your friend that her best friend hit on you and see what happens then.

    Why is my betta fish laying at the bottom of the tank. Also his top fin is missing.?

    He sounds either injured or dead! I really dont think there is anything that can be done. Better check the tank for something sharp that could have hurt him or find out what happened.
