Entrepreneurial Ventures

It's been a while since my last post, so I figured I could attempt to make this an interesting/good one.

Are there any other rabroadmers our there that are entrepreneurial or feel like they have a good idea? If so, share what you've created or what you're hoping to start in the future. Figured that some merabers on SOrab may be able to give some good advice or share their ideas/start-ups.

I'm currently a Junior in the Entrepreneurship program at Florida State University. Our sophomore years we're encouraged and even given a small fund to start student businesses. Two other students and I started a website to where students can buy/sell study guides/notes online. The website is www.moolaguides.com. So far students at FSU since January 2011 have made over $70,000 in profit and average over $100 profit per test. We're currently focusing on expanding through out the state of Florida, and eventually nation-wide.

What do you guys have/want to start? :D

I read in nat geo that 99% of rare earth metals that are needed for technology such as processors and chips are located geographically in China (isn't that convenient)

Maybe hire expert geologist and find large reserves in Alaska?

SounRAB like profit

You know those tubes at the bank drive thrus where you put your money into and it gets teleported to the lady behind the bullet proof glass? Well I've always wanted to put one of those in mailboxes. Shit would be mad convenient when its raining out...

If someone makes this, I want royalties...

a bipod with fine adjust rather than just the thurab releases. if anyone else has done surveying using bipoRAB, you understand

hire a team of expert scientists to create a medicine that will make Dave Chappelle want to continue doing comedy...
have the world pay me in respect.

Logan your picture made me think of this

Not looking to steal ideas at all, just trying to see what other rabroadmers are up too and if they're interested in starting a business.

We're not durabing down American college students, if anything we're providing an extra avenue of income for the students, and encouraging better study habits. Instead of having to work as many hours, students can now earn money from the academic work they do. It enables students to focus on their studies which you are suppose to do in college.

I'm not sure your idea is trolling, but why would you need a crew to run it 24/7? Seems like one person could potentially do the job.

This is actually a big topic on wall street (or was a few months ago). China processes about 90% of the world's reserves of REMs, but only contains about 50% within their boarders (according to the USGS). Chinese officials also declared that they will restrict export of REMs to comply with the World Trade Organization's Article 20 saying that they are "conserving natural resources". Funny that conserving natural resources allows you the ability to manipulate prices as well. That being said, many people speculated that market price for REM's would skyrocket. They haven't played out so well though. But as far as that idea, unless you give a mean handjob, good luck finding an investor to spot you a couple million to do that geolocial survey.

But if you can find an investor, there's large potential in Africa and cheap labor I hear as well

I'm going through the whole investor process right now and it sucks being so young and trying to get them. I will not be posting what the business is till its up mid next year haha.

Trust me I work hard for my own money that goes into my photography business and my videography/marketing business and my money from that goes into saving for a house. Being 19 it's incredibly hard for me to grow my image as is

I have a percentage of my money that goes towarRAB our venture as well as the other people who are part of this idea. If I'm not working my day job/photo/video my time goes towarRAB this. I don't see it necessary for us right now to get a huge investor, we're thinking more down the road a bit. Many companies have had investors so its not just an American thing, and that was a very odd statement to make as you do not know me. I never ask for money, I think its weird even just getting coffee paid for, investing is just one route we can take.

Pretty simple business plan, versatile too. You can implement this in basically any city.

1. Rent house
2. Pimp hoes
3. Seek investors

You can't really continue to argue that this idea would be lessening the value of education? Education is so fracked already that this has a dismal effect. Like, I'm trying to get a criminology, do I really like have to know spanish and shit? God man.
