I have never been there.

It seems to be brighter than new york.
Yet after watching enough usa shows, it feels as if i now it more than my own town. (lie(

Pros:
It has a beach, it is close to the more interesting culture down south.
Oh and if the cliche is correct,if you do it right you can either become a hobo or prostitute.

Cons:
you need a car to communicate.

Is my estimation correct?

91 degrees yesterday- the weather is awesome compared to most. spoiled in that regard. rich and glamorous and poor all within a block of each other. you need a car. traffic sucks.

Hmmm television rarely gives an accurate picture of anything IMO but LA is a large and exciting city. It has a great deal of things to do and see there and yes as in most large cities on the west coast you need a car to actually get around and see things. :yup: People there are friendly and helpful for the most part and will help you to find best places to visit and things to be sure to see when you visit. Hope you enjoy your visit
