Oh my GOD I can't wait till I get out of Geometry. My teacher is such an ASS! Just this morning I went to his class before school and asked if I could get a formula (I couldn't find it). And he said no because "You should've asked me yesterday." So I go to my seat, and I take the test, and when class is over, I was still unfinished with the test, so I asked if I could come in during lunch or something. His immediate response was "No." I MEAN WTF IS THAT!? You would think that he would atleast let me finish the last problem before school the next day....
 
maybe you should have remembered the formula instead.

thats just the problem with kids these days. you expect to be taught by facts alone but the only real way to get anywhere is to learn theorys or in your case the formulas for geometry which if you learned the theories would know that the volume can be calculated by area of the base times the height of the solid.

shapes area and volume, all of which that is, can be derived from that of the rectangle.

yes, i know that isn't just what geometry is all about, i just decided to say that alone.
 
Sounds like my Algebra/Geometry teacher Mr.Smith. (Yes, I suffered with him for two years.) I feel for ya man. At least the school year is almost over and you won't have that dip shit again. (Hopefully) :hug2:
 
Haha! I love you, you get rep for that. My geometry class made fun of that when we were on that subject.

Well, I would personally just start arguing with him, but that might not be the best option for your type of teacher. Perhaps getting one of your parents to complain to the principal?
 
I'm gonna have to agree with the teacher on this one. You have an alotted timeframe to finish a test and an obligation to know certain things and be responsible for them beforehand. That's just the way life is.
 
Suck it up, wait until you get into Trigonometry, if you hate Geometry, then you'll defenitly hate trig. Trust me, i'm in calculus now, and it sucks ass. There's always going to be shit you dont want to do, you just have to live with it bro. Me for example, I hate English with a passion, but I dont complain about it too much, I just do whatever bullshit they tell me to do and wait for the day when I never have to take that friggin subject ever again. Which wont be for a while, but thats not the point. Just look at it this way, at least you probably wont have that same teacher next year for the same class.

You could use Google to find the formula, or ask friends. Or like I always do, cheat sheets. Write on tiny pieces of paper, and put them under your watch. Then when you sit down, put your legs on the seat (make sure there isn't any poop on your shoes) and then open up the sheet there. Or just risk it on the table.

My math teacher is nice, but she doesn't let us finish it unless she has a free period :mfinger:
 
You people want to do well in school? Have your older siblings do all your homework and cheat on every single test and quiz you get. That's how all these so-called "idiots" that the teacher is apparently "favoring" are doing it. Or you can be like me and choose a path integrity and honesty and just fail. If you do poorly in school, it's nobody's fault but your own, so shut the fuck up and quit crying about it.
