Teacher Aids;ARGH

Alright, my first rant, Woo! Erm, anyways, here's how it went down.

I'm just sitting there in class(last hour), screwing around doing nothing like usual, since I do my work before/after school. I was watching my friend screw around with his on again/off again girlfriend, its round 6, someone in class was keeping count. Anyways the teacher aid comes over and starts yelling at me for not working. I proceeded to say "Yeah yeah what ever" and made a hand gesture to go away. She then says "Whats that supposed to mean?"; so I do it again, but slower and explained it with the following comment;"Is it hard to comprehend? Should I go slower?"

Well this didn't sit well with her, and she proceeded to say "This is English class, a time to read or work on spelling, not sit on your butt.You won't get far in life without knowing English." At this point my friend behind me was almost on the ground laughing(just a random note there). I then said "Well, what if I don't wanna go far? What if i wanna be a loser like you?" She got mad and I kept going into it; "I doubt you got a high school degree, I mean my god, you can't even help people on basic math! Believe me, I've heard the storys"

She finally got mad and said "Would you like to go say that to the principal!?!" I replied with a simple "whatever". Sure nothing happened because she has no authority to do that but meh, it pissed me off and it was funny at the same time.

HA, the teachers aid's do absolute shit at our school. all they do all day is wander the halls picking up attendant sheet :tongue:
but it's not worth any credits...
 
heh, our's just sit around and do nothing, sure they correct spelling tests, but that doesn't count.By the way, this hasn't been the first time I've bitched her out, I'm well known for it :cool: .
 
Um, so we're supposed to applaud you for wasting somebody else's time (and the government's / taxpayers' money) buy going to school and doing absolutely nothing? Ever thought of just not going? I mean, I could explain it slower if you like. Maybe draw some pictures.
 
Maybe you didnt read my whole topic, or the first lines rather; because look at what i did say:


Notice the part bolded & underlined, see, I do my work before or after school. What I admit i didn't put is we never work at all really. The teacher gives us a briefing, so to speak, on what to do, and goes around helping people who need it.
I work in all my other classes, the lowest grade im getting right now is a D, because of a technical error on my part involving last years math and this years, i wrote my answers backwords(the way we did it last year). I hope this explained it, if not, I will be glad to clear it up.

EDIT: To the below poster, I only said & did what I did because I was sick of her. She pushed me over the edge for the second time this year. Besides, if you saw how everyone in my class treats her, or rather she treats us, you would more than likely change your opinion.

How about try being known as someone who respects adults, and goes to school to learn... What a novel idea huh...

Teacher's aids are people with families, how would you feel if someone disrespected your mother like that, better yet, if you were to someday be treated like that by someone in your workplace...

There's really no need for these people at schools....

To Skitch about the government money wasting - These people's jobs are a waste. They go around collecting attendance sheets and going to detention rooms while other teachers take their lunch. They're hall monitors, while other teachers could be. They're so blatantly insignificant that anyone could do their job for them. In fact, the Life skills class does the recycling and sometimes collects attendence for the teacher aid people. How would that make you feel, if a bunch of mentally retarded kids could do your job just as well as you did?

Bleh. I just don't get the idea of having "teacher aid" ... Waste of taxpayer money... Not in the same way that Skitch suggested, but the people actually receiving the money DONT DESERVE IT.
 

Thank you Boycott, someone finially figured out what the topic was about, but next time i know not to play with peoples minds, or what ever it was i did... right. Expect a possible rant on school tomorrow, about me getting in trouble for todays actions.
 
Thats way dif then my TA, i go to Alternative Schooling ( yelling fights etc,,) but its a high school and the girl that is the TA lets us copy the answer key and she is like 17 so thats ok by me :P.. but in your situation i can see how pissed off you would be.
