Sturgis Blowout Sale! Custom Stretched Saddlebags 679.99

Okay, Justin I'm now in a position to buy some bags now that my wheels are on. I do have a few questions for you. What is done to the rear of the bag for the exhaust cut out? If I need to grind/cut a little of the exhaust opening to get them to match; will I be into the bag or is there some room to cut/grind. I see most of your bags have an inverted "U" cut out that's sort of slopes up at the top (if that makes since). I would like some that have a real half "U" shape (like the red bike w/ full stretch). I want it to look like exhaust just clears the exhaust cut outs not like it like it the exhaust cut outs are too big. I any of this possible?

Yes it is I would just have to know what size of exhaust you have in order to match the cutout to the pipe.
Thanks
Justin B

Brypink, I remember reading in another post that you scraped the 3" bags I and know you came from street bikes but I just had to ask how hard did you lean it to get it to scrape? I came from street bikes too and can really get mine leaning in the curves but I normally stop just shy of the board scraping. Some time times I go past and scrape them a little but its not a goal of mine. I was thinking about the 3 1/2" but don't want to f them all up in a turn...Whats you're take on that?

I scraped them when I didn't think I would. When I had the bags on, I was more aware of them in turns and tried not to scrape, but it still happened. I think if you REALLY concentrate, slow down AND don't lean hard...you'll be ok with 3" bags...3.5" and your pushing it. There's some on here that ride very conservative every time they ride (I actually envy them, I can't do it...something in my blood I guess) and never complain of scraping their bags.

I do not have the 3" bags on now...I have them for sale. I swapped out my exhaust and need another pair with a single cut out...just thought I would go a bit shorter this time around.

Are you running the stock 12" Shocks? I upgraded to the Ohlins which are 13.25" long and Top Shop said with my taller rear shocks I wouldnt scrape with 3.5" bags.

What are your thoughts?

.

When I scraped, I had 13.25" shocks on...but, they weren't set-up for my weight. I have different 13.25" shocks on now that are set-up for my weight. I'm willing to bet I would still scrape the bags if I had them on...albeit, maybe not as easy now...but I would.

Again, and I want everyone to understand me...this is my style of riding. I do not ride conservatively...if you do, you should not have a problem with a 3" stretch.
