J&M 7.25 Speaker Review

I bought the 6.5 speakers and to be honest I am not to impressed. They sound good with CD's and the IPod but suck with the radio. A friend told me to get an amp and the sound would improve.

Thanks Shawn, it was my wife that you helped. Nice Christmas present and they sound fantastic. Just need the rear's now. Sent a P.M. with my info. Thanks again!

one of the tests we perform on any new J&M speaker, is to put it thru a jig that we built in our R&D shop ,,,,, which sprays a steady spray of water directly on the front of the speaker cone, while it is playing at high volume ,,,,, for 48 straight hours, to make sure that there is no damage ,,,, same with the tweeter and midrange on the grill ,,,,,

the woofer cone is made of hard, injection molded polycarbonate, and the rolled edge is a form of neoprene ,,,,,, Mylar dust cover in the middle all sealed together ,,,,,

you can get the J&M speakers wet as often as you like from rain or carwash, it will not affect them ,,,,,

Thanks for the info John. I have one last question. Is it possible for water to lay in the speakers because of the partially open grill design? I have not looked enough to see if water will run out of them or is able to sit in there.

it might sit there till you turn the stereo back on for 5 seconds ,, then the speaker cones will blow the water right out as they move ,,,,, or it will just evaporate ,,,,
