Walking around the house bare a$$ clenching the dollar bill betwen your butt cheeks works for me too ! I started using cardboard at first.

Guys scope out LD comfort riding shorts. No seams where ya meet the seat. Wicking material. Vey fast drying. Waht aworld of differance. Better than underarmor -- they gots a barndoor. Worth every penny

Find a seat that you like, handlebars that don't kill your back, and hit the road!

Once you achieve "road mode" status, the little aches and pains don't bother you.

It's like the long distance runner's that quit feeling pain after awhile and focus on the race.

Almost a nirvana!

I could run forever if it wasn't for my wife......she's yet to find that mindset!

this might sound strange but in the summer we tend to sweat while riding because of the heat etc. fluids along with salts are lost through sweating, and there goes your potassium. ever wonder why they offer a banana and a bottle of water at each checkpoint at the baja 1000? that being said, bananas are impractical to pack with you to replenish the potassium. that's why i keep a bottle of potassium gluconate in my pocket. you know how when you ride for hours you can get a bad case of polio fingers, or cramped calves, etc? it's usually from losing that potassium. one tab of the potassium gluconate, a minute later and you can forget about the polio fingers.
another thing i use when travelling and don't want to stop to pee every hour or so, is to get a small baggie of coffee beans to munch on while riding. the caffein seems to zoom me up without making me have to find a tree to pee behind. the cheapest way to get a good sheepskin cover is to go to pep boys or auto zone and get an automobile sheepskin seat cover for a bucket seat. you can cut it to size and it'll cost you around 39 bucks. find the thickest one for more padding though. one more thing i learned years ago was to change speed every hour or so. if i set the cruise at 78, then i'll run at that speed for an hour or so, and then change back to 68-70 for a half hour. the difference in rpm's, stress, etc, seems to be a welcome change. now if you plan on riding at night, the safest time to ride is during the dark of the moon. the reason being because the animals that are nocturnal and are out foraging for food stay home, they can't see as well at night without a moon. other than that, like they said in blazing saddles, "son, you're on your own"

im running a stock 08 rkc seat.i used a cooler and blanket aginst my backrest on my iron but run.not as comfy as using my t bags.ive got 18" bars highway pegs.you wanna be able to move your feet to shift your position.leave early when its cool.i like 3 am for my departure times.dont wear under wear with a seam across the cheek.

The Russell Day Long seat is the only saddle I will ever have on my rides. I usually ride 100 miles before breakfast, then stop for a short break every 50 miles after that to get the blood circulating. I have done many 600 mile days this way. Longest day was 931 miles on an old BMW R100RT Airhead.

+1 on that. Plain old baby powder works too, but not as well. Good seat helps, and for me, this is a harder seat than stock. Never sat on a Corbin, but I loved the Mustang I had on my Wide Glide - could easily ride all day on that one. Need to invest in one for the Ultra.
