T-Mobile working on advanced text blocking capability

I just read this article in engadget Imobile

So we caught wind yesterday of rumors that T-Mobile was planning to offer several comprehensive levels of text and call blocking this summer, offering super-granular control over who exactly can reach your beloved handset. Options would include per-number blocking, SMS, MMS, IM, and email on an individual basis -- only free messages would still be unblockable. We contacted T-Mobile directly and got the following response: "We are working on a service we plan to launch this summer that would enable customers to block text messages (beyond what is available today)...stay tuned." In other words, yeah, it sounds like there are some more advanced options on the way. That's good news for us -- and bad news for our stalkers.

Anyone have any further info?
 
Now that would be amazing if it actually falls through. I dont see why carriers dont have this option already. Nice Find!
 
Your right tfrankson. Why don't all carriers have this option. This really does sound like a great option. Are we going to pay more for this option or not? Any stackers working in T-Mobile Customer Service have any further info on this?
 
I was informed by a customer service rep that it will block both email addresses and phone numbers when I asked, meaning you can also stop people from emailing your phone through [email protected]. Now if only we can get the call screening, call blocking options...
 
~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~you can now block emails by going through your my tmobile unber communication tools and set up email filter it will block email comming to your tmobile address for other eamil of course you can set that up through your email provider

I am very excited over blocking calls and text not for me but for tmobile customers that by far is the number one request by customers and I hate giving the information that all we can do is change your number and by the way that will cost 15 bucks
They have some phones alreafy that have a blocked caller list but its only very few; new samsungs and blackberriers have this but still can't block text and if they block the number it still comes through so I am very happy with this news
 
If you sign up for GrandCentral (www.grandcentral.com) you can block phone calls but it requires a GrandCentral number (doesn't block calls to your T-Mobile number), and you can't text from your GrandCentral number but you can block text with your T-Mobile number. Kind of a small workaround there. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~
 
iCallManager is totaly the best call blocker available. IF you guys want to block some call action check out the program. I personaly use it and LOVE it. I guess you could say its still in dev but it works, and well. Sorry if these seems like im trying to plug iSoftware Labs, but im not. They just have a great product. Google for it if your serious about blocking some calls on you 'ole Blackberry.

I saw this on phonescoop as well. It will be pretty sweet because I get lots of customers who want to block a number who kEeps texting. ~them. via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~
