+1 for Thread of the Year! Just a ton of good, factual information!

I wonder if their hiring down at the Tom Thumb? I'm thinking that I might next a little extra coin real soon!

Kinda curious myself, so I poked around a bit more. The low cost way is definitely to buy pistons and have your cylinders bored and honed. I think that can be done for about 500 bucks. It would be double that if you buy a big bore kit with jugs and pistons. Drag Specialties has the Revolution 107 kit for a cool grand, and the S&S 106 kit is about the same.

I figure I can do cams for around 400 bucks or so. A bit more if I want Woods cams, and a bit less if I go with Andrews or SE.

So figure a thousand to 1500 bucks for parts alone for a 96 to 107 upgrade with cams, and no head work. Add another 500 bucks for a good street port.

I think I'm gonna have to sell some stuff on ebay this fall to finance my winter project.

I would recommend the TW-555, this would be a great bolt in cam and would work well with your current combination. You could expect gains of 15-18 Hp/8-12Tq and it would be especially strong thru the midrange and areas you ride the most.

A few words on pricing for the 107. We are currently in the development stage for our kits and are working on the technical details, pricing, and the specific components that will be included with each kit.

We are planning to offer two kits:

Fuel Moto Stage II 107 A value base kit which will include a 107" piston kit to be used with your OEM bored cylinders, choice of Wood Knight Prowler cams, and complete gasket set. This kit will use the stock cylinder heads.

Fuel Moto Stage II+ 107 This kit will use the 107" Revolution Performance cylinder and piston kit, Revolution Stage II heads (exchange), choice of Wood Knight Prowler cams, and complete gasket set.

We will also offer options such as Bobby Wood's Directional lifters, our FM Cam install kit and Adjustable pushrods.

We are currently waiting on pistons to test and in the next couple weeks we will switch our current 107" with the Revolution cylinders and heads over to the 107" pistons w/bored cylinders and stock heads and do a direct comparison between both kits.

Now that will be a really interesting test. Get a chance to see how big of an impact head work really makes. Great testing Jamie. Keep up the good work.

wow I can wait to see this next test I am sold on the tw-555 I am not doing heads just yet. Just keep going back and forth on going 103 or 107. I really like the idea of a "kit" with everything you need.

Jamie, if the pricing you come up with for these upgrade packages is consistant with your other products, they should be an outstanding value.

I'm saving my spare change.
