How To: HTC Hero Flash to Cricket with Talk, Text, Wap and MMS

would someone with a Hero post their working APN so I can compare. I've done everything, check settings, etc. I'm at a loss.

im on an eris currently, so i cant say for sure, but i would definately try :)
Just make a nandroid backup and that way you can restore back to your current setup if it doesnt help.

i would give the newest damage control ar drach a try just to see, i know some roms did have issues with MMS and required a separate flash to correct on the hero from what i read on XDA.

Fresh Toast 1.1 looks appealing to me.... but im a freak of modding, yummy OC and Apps2SD lol :)
 
Thanks for the advice Token. I gave it a shot ... it killed everything, so I restored from Nandroid and I'm back to everything but MMS on Fresh 2.0d.

Guess I'll just wait and see what the ZIO holds for us in July. :rolleyes:
 
Ok I left my APN settings to the Verizon defaults and wouldn't you know it! I can receive MMS and View, but cannot send.

How's that for strange.
 
hey jw. i did wat token did to get everything working on the hero/eris for cricket but instead used the autostart.sh file for metroPCS but i after its all done, when i try to use anything internet related i get server failed to communicate each time. Anyone know what would be the cause of this? maybe the ips in the metropcs autostart.sh are wrong idk any help would be appreciated

edit:
well i fixed the problem i edited the autostart.sh file's proxy from 8080 to 3128 which is metros proxy and it works but it feels like the internet is slower than when i had it using anycut. it could just be my location but yea its slow. just ran a speed test and got 60-100 kbps. im on 1x but still remember things loading faster lol...any1 know why it would do this?
 
Id like to start off by saying this is my first post and only signed up on this site because i think the guy above is a complete and total douche bag. DUDE you need to learn to spell and quit being such a forum NAZI. its spelled WHICH not WITCH. I mean come on. my 4 year old knows the difference.
 
just flashed fresh's 2.1.1 rom and i'm still unable to send or receive MMS.... :(
FYI i used token's last flash file and followed his instructions to the teeth.
 
well, I flashed BitterSweet v1.2 and also flashed token419's zip and now whenever I send an MMS it tells me it successfully sent it, but they never get it, and whenever I get an MMS I get Transient Failure. :befuddled
