my flash doesnt seem to have MMS working, im trying to work on it durring my lunch break, ill have an updated zip when i have confirmed i have the MMS resolved in the flash

The first time I pushed the telephony.db, I could send and receive pics.

I am also working on trying to come up with a fix for GPS. I can determine location in Google Maps, but in Google Navigation it is a no-go.

adb shell
# mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
# cd /system/app
rm Sprint_Core.apk

-Remember to do this immediately after flashing the ROM/before reboot... This way it will not try to install the apps when you initiate first boot.

I'm getting average speeds now. What's strange is that my tp2 gets much better speeds which leads me to believe it is not necessarily a network issue. Pandora works great though :) Now when I get tired of the music on my ipod in the car, I can just plug in my phone! Well, Pandora gets boring too. lol.

ahhhh Im getting frustrated. I flashed the ROM then removed sprint_core.apk, Then rebooted, then pushed the telephony.db but I still cant receive or send any MMS

** EDIT **
As promised here is a single flashable zip that will hande the OS side to get Web/MMS up and running

Instructions:
1. Copy the cricket_eris_web_mms.zip to the root of your sd card
2. boot into recovery mode
3. flash cricket_eris_web_mms.zip
4. reboot
5. choose "Always Allow" to the SU prompt if one comes up
6. open your app drawer
7. open APN Backup & Restore
8. select "Delete APNs"
9. select "Restore APNs"
10. browse the web and spam your MMS messages to your friends

** END EDIT **

ok so after some research i found out the telephony.db file in 2.1 seems to not be getting used, or at least i cant seem to get it to be used most of the time. Deleting it reverts back to vtext. pushing it and pulling my apn from the phone still shows vtext, even though a telephony.db database with mycricket is in there.... frustrating lol.

For those having issues trying to push the telephony.db file, i would just use APN Backup & Restore from the market, backup your apn's, edit the xml file on a pc and change vtext to mycricket and save, then in APN Backup & Restore, Delete your APN's then restore from the XML file you edited.

That works 100% for me, ill update when i find out how i can do this in an update.zip file that can be flashed.

in the mean time ill create a new update.zip that you can flash from recovery that just handles the proxy information, without trying to push the telephony.db file

With the latest patch. Everything else is working, including YouTube .... so Talk, Text, Web, but no on MMS.

Error message when trying to download is: Generic Network Failure

i get an error message when i try to delete the apn settings per your instructions:
"delete failed: error code 8: attempt to write a readonly database"

anyone?
