T-Mobile Run Around

I just got off the phone with T-MO customer care, and they are full of SH!T. They're answer to me was basically that they received notice YESTERDAY that this phone is on back order for now, and that it is up to RIM now on how long the back order will be. I asked what the time is that we can expect the 8900 to be on back order for, and no answer was given to me. I also asked why have people received their 8900's that ordered them on Thur/Fri and the people who placed their order on Weds HAVEN'T yet. This is really upsetting and wish they could just be up front with the whole situation and FIX it. Not be clueless and have the customer call them with more info that they have.

GRRRRR.

All I want is a range of dates that TMO can guarantee that the phone will be shipped. Am I looking at next Monday or three weeks from now? This is ridiculous.

Even their web site doesn't say that the phone is on back order. So more people are still ordering and not being told its on back order.
I want my phone already!!!!!!!!!
I love my 8320 but i got to has my 8900!!!

Here's how this works guys...

A corporate client was in the works with your carrier about upgrading their phones... Let's say the want 500 8900's...

In the mean time, you call and put in your order... They put you down as processing... And then all of a sudden the corporate deal goes through... Now they only have 450 8900's in stock and 51 that are already linked as processing for shipment for guys like US...

They put us all on backorder till their next batch ships in from CHINA ( or hungary for that mattery)... And one guy gets their phone on time... The corporate gets their phones on time.. And all 50 of us get screwed...

Yes... That's how it works... Its the sad truth... Corporations take priority... Consumers are 3rd grade customers...

Its a sucky reality...

I want to know what corps did that because RIM posted a loss of corp business. The first place they cut in many places are upgrades. So what business is thriving so much that we get the shaft!

I ordered on the 12th as well and today am now told it is on backorder. No ETA on ship date. One rep said 4-8 WEEKS and another said 3-4 more days than usual. First reps were no help. I said I want to talk with Loyalty and I got one rep who upped my minutes though for the inconvenience since I have 8+ years with T-mobile. Nice gesture that I appreciate though my 8320 is almost dead and I need the new phone which is why I signed a new contract. The last guy I talked to agreed that he whole thing was not right and said he would follow up with me on Thursday when he was back in. He did mention that all employee upgrades are blocked on the 8900 until mid March due to the high demand.

this thread doesn't make me happy. i ordered mine on friday with 3 day shipping and called in this afternoon to ask what the status was (since i don't have any tracking info).

the guy told me it was processed on saturday (when i got the text notifying me that it's processing) and that it should be here no later than wednesday. i thought everything was hunky dory until reading this thread.

to those of you with ups tracking info, where did you get it from? when the guy was checking the status he said ups doesn't have the info yet and said that's usual since with priority shipping, it sometimes gets delivered before the computers are updated (i thought this was a little shady). i asked for a tracking # and he said there isn't one yet.

huh....that's weird...I ordered my 8900 on 2/11 at 10am MST...paid the express shipping and received it 2/12 at 1251pm MST...not sure what the issue is for the rest of you....I've been a T-Mo customer since day one that they were a carrier in the USA and I have NEVER had an issue with them.

I ordered my second 8900 on the 11th and received it on Thursday the 12th (Free expidited shipping. Today I ordered my third one, and the CSR said nothing about a back order, and put my order through. This time he said I did not have to send my second unnacceptable 8900 back before the new one arrives. Instead, I just need to make sure I send the one I'm returning back and call t-mobile with a UPS tracking number before my 14 day buyer's-remorse period is over. We will see how 8900 #3 fairs this next round.

Im getting the same run around as you all are. Ordered mine Friday morning 2/12 @ 9am, they told me shipping would put it in my hands Monday or Tuesday and if I wanted I could check status on UPS w/ the reference number being my phone #. Checked Saturday......Nothing! Checked Monday.......Nothing! Called CS today and they said they were sorry but the phone is on back order and there's no estimated delivery date, but they would send me a text once my order was shipped, then I could check the estimated delivery. Im sorry but this is all BS with TMO!!!!

OK so lets see when i get it. I just checked with ups.com and it now says in there sight billing information received and a tracking number but still no ETA.
This is like a covert op for TMO
