Just a heads up folks...thats all! I made a point of making calls on both of mine before I mailed the rebated in.

For all the good things about TMO their rebate operation can be a PITA. They only processed 1 of my 2 router rebates (I bought 3 h@h phones) When I asked why I was told that since they were mailed in the same envelope that violated the "may not be combined with any other offer" terms. However they did re-enter the 2nd rebate as a one time only service. .
 
Appreciate the "heads-up."

Long ago learned to copy everything one does in conjunction with a rebate - evern the outside of the mailing envelope, and then send it certified / return-recipt requested.

With rebates it's fine print - fine print - fine print.

The extra couple of dollars for the mailing has paid off more than once when I've heard "oh we never got that," line.

Hahahaha - wanna bet? Who signed for this then?

Wow, ok? So do u think it will become available??? My biggest problem is that I have poor reception at home, which I'm assuming the H@H should take care of, right??? But sometimes I do international calling, which will suck if its not available.
 
If you're willing to use a 3rd party calling selection - the cost of international can come way down.

TelAdvantage is one - you dial in to a number for pre-set speed-dial numbers for international calls that you set up via the web.

My cost to call China is nearly nothing compared to other "carriers."


I dial in, have preset speed-dial numbers that I punch a number for 1(speed dials a number) 2(speed dials another number), 3, etc., etc.

I just put a balance on the account - $25 or so and can make LOT of calls around the world at pretty great rates. Now . . .

On occasion the connections needs to be redialed, but heck, for what it costs compared to "regular dialing," it's well worth it.

Quick question... What about using the phone overseas, say China or Europe. If I connect to a router and make a call will it be free? T.I.A.
 
I don't think it works in "reverse" as CT (China Telecom) is the provider in China for most of the phone systems.

However . . . . I have to say, I don't honestly have the answer to that question.

I would think - that the "intenational" connections would still cary a charge as they're "origin based" - meaning you're dialing out through the CT system (for the most part). You still have to pick up the "international" connection.

Maybe somebody else here knows . . . . ???????

Interesting concept however.
 
I have seen reports on Howards Forum of H@H users who were able to make WIFI calls in Asia and did not see any extra costs.

It seems to depend on the internet connection....
