I don't believe for a second that she is that crazy or mean-spirited in real life. I think she is incredibly intelligent in terms of knowing how to make money by shocking people, just like Howard Stern used to do. Shocking and surprising behavior makes money because it makes people wonder what you will say or do next. She is an actress who has created a "character" for herself on TV and in books, just like professional wrestling creates characters and fake drama for ratings and interest.
She is a very good actress, however, even though I disagree with her. I just think when she gets home from her interviews on Hannity she volunteers at the local food kitchen for senior citizens who are homeless, and then reads to neglected, impoverished children in foster homes. She is totally an act.
