my friends & i have been waiting for this movie for a year!! :D i LOVE leo & kate - to this day, over the past 10 years, they still remain my favorite actors & this film looks intense & i think it calls for a Leo oScar.

I was pleasantly surprised about this film. I really liked it.
There's only one thing I would have changed - Leo DiCaprio. He wasn't convincing enough for me. Just my opinion :)

I liked this movie was real good both Kate and Leo are good at acting togther again with each other I think the movie had a message to that is telling people if you are not happy with you life then you should change it.

But is was great movie.

I've seen that movie with my boyfriend. and we were both so excited.
Great movie and performance.

Thanks for the link! I am soo looking forward to see 'em on screen again!

Oh, and gorgeous poster!

The movie was really intense and amazing. Both performances were outstanding IMHO

So what IS the story then in your opinion?

I liked the movie. BOTH actors were great and I can not understand why neither of them is acknowledge with an oscar nomination. But nonetheless the jury clearly don't lost their sense of irony as Michael Shannon - playing the crazy one - was chosen in the category of best supporting role.

I  you RR icon *Nora*. :)
& Yeah!Kathy Bates was in Titanic!
It's very good cast. I also find it funny that RR is being released the same time Titanic was 11 years ago. Decemember 21st is RR & December 27th i believe was Titanic. :D

I went to see it last friday and well I must say that seing Leo and Kate onscreen together after 10 years was amazing. And they both did a great job in the movie(But my father and I thought that Leonardo deserved a golden globe nomination way more than Kate, yes she was great but Leo...he made the movie and I wasn't even a fan of him, now I'll think about that:).
Anyway, I have to say that I didn't really liked the movie. It was okay, it's a good story, but it's a story that I've seen at least 100 times in the last 10 years. It's a movie of quality, but I really don't think that the movie would have been so popular with the critics if Kate and Leo didn't started in it.

For me the movie was sending a message to follow your dreams, definitely find something that you can do for free & still love it, therefore finding a way how to get paid for it, and that way you don't wind up like them. They were tearing each other apart for the life they chose to live - which is the life they essentially did not want. They both were selfish & weren't willing to sacrifice, so that's why I think the ending results happened the way they did. It was a raw movie, I'll tell ya. The performances were just escalating. I want to see it again, in fact. :) So yeah, that's my take on it.

Yeah, I saw it, and I'm not really sure what to make of it. I mean, it's extremely well done, and Kate's & Leo's performances are equally amazing, but it was rather bizarre and depressing -- not really the kind of movie I'd want to watch again. I mean, who wants to watch a film about the breakdown of a marriage?

Anyone else seen this? I feel like I've been waiting forever and I finally got to see it tonight. It's even more intense than I thought it would be, and Leo and Kate are nothing short of extraordinary. Definitely the kind of film, and the kind of performances, that stays with you for a while.

I went and saw the Duchess last weekend and it showed the preview for this movie... it looks so good and intense! Can't wait to see these two onscreen together again!
