Out of over 300,000, only "hundreds" are misplaced or unknown? Those seem like good numbers considering...

well of course. when something goes wrong in the government or anything federal related, its always the other guys job on the line, not yours.

regardless, this is pretty bad. this is one of the most important grounds in America and the people running it can't even keep track of the men and women buried there

It's Arlington...it's not like there are people being buried there every day. since the cemetary's creation back in the 1800's only 300,000 out of all the men and women who died in the armed forces are buried there. You should be able to keep track of the bodies.

When it was established during the civil war, many soldiers were indiscriminately buried there is an expedient manner. I doubt their concern was so much with record keeping during the civil war.

The bodies are veterans from the Iraq and Afghan wars. Whether or not bodies were unknown during the civil war is kind of irrelevant, and I'm still 99% sure that those bodies are accounted for.

It must be devastating not knowing where the pile of dirt that was formerly your husband is.

Their spirit has now gone to heaven. It is un-Christian to worship paganistic items, such as piles of dirt, grass, a tree, etc.

Sure it is. I saw people put candles and things there, and flowers. Offerings to the spirits or something.
